Storage King Virginia opened the doors to their new office complex yesterday, revealing a new standard in Self Storage Merchandising. The office was completely redesigned with staff relegated to a demountable office while critical works were undertaken over the last 8 weeks. the new offices comprise significant space allocated to Storage King merchandise, with clearly labelled information for selection by customers.
David Benson the Store Manager supervised the process and added his requirements to the build, including an impressive array of CCTV monitors, making Security an upfront issue with customers.
Behind the scenes, integrated cupboards house the Ness Security Panels, StorLogix controller and Ness video recorders. Network cabling was terminated in the cupboards with a switch connecting to the ADSL network. A 4G connection available as a fall over Internet connection.
With emphasis on the latest technology, Storage King Virginia uses RapidStor’s Online Move In system, linked to SiteLink and also the integrated box shop by RapidStor as well.
David Benson is one of Storage Kings most progressive Managers and was awarded “Manager of the Year” 2 years ago and with his attention to detail in the office redevelopment, its an award richly deserved.
With Self Storage becoming a retail product, Storage King Virginia have moved the mark higher than many competitor sites and their reward will be additional storage and Merchandise, with David commenting that Merchandise sales had more than doubled at other stores in the group where similar office upgrades had been completed.
